Step 1: Installing OSX

This will cover installing OS X Leopard 10.5 on the MSI Wind laptop as an only OS.  Dual booting will be covered later on.

There are several ways to do this.  It can be done either from a retail DVD or from a patched install image, such as kalaway osx, or windosx86.

The easiest way for this specific laptop would be to search for a torrent containing MSIwindosx86.  This is an install that was custom made for this laptop, and has already had extra things removed and added to improve usability.  To install, simply insert the disc of the torrent into an external dvd reader connected to your wind, and boot from the CD.  Once the comptuer boots from the CD, open up Disk Utility, select your hard drive, and under the partitions tab, select single partition.  Tell the computer to partition and format the drive With the Mac OS (Journaled) format.  There is no need for installing OS9 (Classic) support, as that will not function with Intel Chips anyway.  Now just click through everything and tell it to install.  Once it id done, the computer will automatically boot into OSX 10.5.4
